In the Beginning

In 1972, Larry Edwards founded AAA Waste Disposal. Seven
years later, Paul Coury started Rainbow Disposal Services.  The two men
were, of course, fierce competitors in the industry but in spite of the
rivalry, the two men forged a lasting friendship.

In 1996, Republic Services acquired both of their disposal
companies.  Larry and Paul both worked for Republic Services for several
years, helping to complete the transition for the two companies. Ultimately,
Larry decided that he preferred the spirit of a smaller, more entrepreneurial
company.

American Disposal Begins

In 2001, Larry Edwards, founded American Disposal Services.
Three years later, Paul Coury, joined him as his partner. Since then, the duo
have built American into a trusted industry leader with over 325,000 customers,
650 employees, and 200 trucks serving residential, commercial, and industrial
customers.
