Christmas Tree Collection Policy

Having a Christmas tree in your home around the holidays is a staple for many families. A Christmas tree brings joy and excitement during the season, but many people are unsure of how to properly dispose of their tree once the holiday has passed. At American Disposal Services, Inc., we make Christmas tree disposal stress-free and convenient!

To ensure proper disposal, please adhere to the following policies based on your state:

Virginia:
We will pick up Christmas trees and associated debris with household trash on your scheduled pick-up day. Please do not place Christmas trees in plastic bags. Before setting your tree out for pickup, please remove all tinsel, lights, and decorations.

Fairfax County, Virginia:
Christmas trees will be picked up the first two Wednesdays in January. Any yard waste generated after the last pick up in January should be placed curbside on the 2nd regularly scheduled trash pickup day until yard waste season resumes. Please do not place Christmas trees in plastic bags. Before setting your tree out for pickup, please remove all tinsel, lights, and decorations.

Colorado & Georgia:
We will pick up Christmas trees and associated debris with household trash on your scheduled pick-up day. Please do not place Christmas trees in plastic bags. Before setting your tree out for pickup, please remove all tinsel, lights, and decorations.
