Our Safety Management team has implemented many programs to create awareness in our employees thus ensuring their safety. We have established a goal to have our injury and illness incident rates below the industry average. - Vehicle insurance requirements
- Employee driver license checks and identification of high risk drivers
- Accident reporting and investigation
- Vehicle selection, maintenance and inspection
- Training standards
- Safety regulations
- Maintain a drug and alcohol training and testing program for all drivers
There are many career opportunities within American Disposal Services, and we choose each and every employee very carefully. Our drivers are chosen with the strictest form of guidelines. The company has implemented three levels of driver qualification criteria:
- State-regulated driver qualification parameters must be met. Regulatory information will be obtained from applicable state departments of transportation and motor vehicle services.
- Where applicable, drivers will comply with DOT Commercial Driver License (CDL) regulations.
- Drivers involved in intra or interstate operations with GMVR of 26,001 pounds or more must have a CDL and be enrolled in a DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
