Safety is for Life. At American Disposal Services, we believe the integration of safety and health into every operation at our corporation is of the utmost importance. The health and safety of our employees continues to be a top priority in our operation, as well as the safety and health of the public we serve and share the highways with.

Our Safety Management team has implemented many programs to create awareness in our employees thus ensuring their safety. We have established a goal to have our injury and illness incident rates below the industry average. To accomplish this goal, we ask each of our employees to commit not only to their own safety but to the safety of their co-workers and community.

American Disposal Services maintains an active Motor Vehicle Safety Policy. This safety policy is implemented by management and is carried out by each employee operating a company vehicle. Elements of this program include:

• Vehicle insurance requirements
• Employee driver license checks and identification of high risk drivers
• Accident reporting and investigation
• Vehicle selection, maintenance and inspection
• Training standards
• Safety regulations
• Maintain a drug and alcohol training and testing program for all drivers

There are many career opportunities within American Disposal Services, and we choose each and every employee very carefully. Our drivers are chosen with the strictest form of guidelines. The company has implemented three levels of driver qualification criteria:

1. Sate-regulated driver qualification parameters must be met. Regulatory information will be obtained from applicable state departments of transportation and motor vehicle services.
2. Where applicable, drivers will comply with DOT Commercial Driver License (CDL) regulations.
3. Drivers involved in intra or interstate operations with GMVR of 26,001 pounds or more must have a CDL and be enrolled in a DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.

Our employees go through careful training in safety awareness and attend our monthly safety meetings. Our employees feel safe with American Disposal Services, and we feel safe with them.
