Question:
What is considered regular household trash?
Answer: Everyday generated trash is household trash
– Example: kitchen and bathroom trash is everyday generated trash.
Question: What are my collection times?
Answer: Prince William, Stafford, Winchester,
Fredericksburg Counties collection time is 5:00 AM. Loudoun and Fairfax Counties
collection time is 6:00 AM. We advise all residents to ensure collection; have
items out curbside the night before.
Question: How do I dispose of furniture, appliances, cleanout
or construction material?
Answer: Please call our office at least 24 hours in
advance for pricing and to schedule these items for removal.
Question: What is your inclement weather policy?
Answer: We reserve the right to cancel service on
any day, in which we consider unsafe due to inclement weather. Weather permitting, your refuse will be
picked up on your next scheduled service day. No adjustments will be made to
your bill.

On
days where the office is closed and operation is running, please make sure to
put your items out the night before to ensure pickup.
Question: What do you consider unacceptable curbside items?
Answer: Acids, Fire Extinguishers, Ammunition,
antifreeze, asbestos, automobile parts, cinder blocks, concrete, TV’s,
computer monitors, car batteries, chemicals, dead animals, motor oil, mulch,
paint, pesticides, poisons, propane or helium tanks, sod, tires, tree stumps,
dirt, rocks and stones.
Question: Do you take moving boxes and if so, how many can I
put out for collection?
Answer: Yes, we do take moving boxes. For recycling purpose, they must be
flattened and cut down to 3 ft by 3 ft. We will take approximately 75 per recycling collection pickup.
Question: How do I dispose of syringes/needles?
Answer: It is imperative that proper steps are taken when disposing of
syringes/needles. To ensure the
safety of our crews, we would like to inform you of how you can dispose of
these items.
1. Return them to either the physician or hospital in which they were
received.
2. Placing them in a thick, hard plastic bottle (like a detergent
bottle) with a secured lid. Syringes/needles or any sharp items should never be disposed of in just
a plastic or paper bag.
Question: Am I able to put my address on your cart/bins?
Answer: We ask you do not write in permanent marker on our equipment. We suggest you use stickers (example,
mailbox stickers) to identify your cart/bin.
Question: How do I go about getting my cart/bin replaced?
Answer: We ask that you call our office and speak
with one of our customer service representatives to schedule a date when our
crews will be in your area doing repairs/replacements of equipment.
Question: What do I do when my trash cart or recycling cart
goes missing?
Answer: Make sure you have the serial number located
on the trash cart written down. If
your cart goes missing, check around with your neighbors to see if they
accidentally took your cart. If you
are unable to locate your cart please call the office. You are able to purchase one from us for
$100.00 or you may purchase your own trash can. Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, and Home Depot
are suggested areas if you choose to purchase your own.
Question: What do I do when my bin goes missing?
Answer: Bin, unfortunately, do not have serial
numbers on them. As mentioned
above, check around to see if your neighbors accidentally took the bin. You are able to purchase one bin from us
for $10.00 or you may purchase your own. Wal-Mart, Lowe’s and Home Depot are suggested areas if you choose
to purchase your own bin.
Question: How do I go about canceling my service?
Answer: We ask you call the office in order to
cancel your service. There is a
$20.00 cancellation fee at the time of cancellation.
Question: Am I able to use my 64 gallon recycling cart for
trash?
Answer: No. The recycling cart is strictly for single stream recycling – No trash
or yard debris material can be placed in this special recycling cart.
Question: What is single stream recycling?
Answer: Single stream recycling allows customers to commingle all their recycling items together. No more separation of material is required. Also with all the items that are now acceptable for recycling (see link of what items are acceptable) it allows residents to recycle more material.
Question: What are my payment options?
Answer: By mail - checks or money order / In person - cash, checks or money order / by phone - VISA or MasterCard. There is a $5.00 processing fee if you wish to make payment by credit card.
Question: What can I put out for yard debris collection?
Answer: What is considered yard debris collection is grass clipping and leaves to be placed out in clear plastic bags or brown paper bags. Personal containers may be used however need to be clearly marked "yard debris." Tree limbs and brush must be no longer than 5 feet in length and 6 inches thick in diameter. These items must be tied with rope or twine in arm length bundles. Items that are bagged or bundled or not to exceed 50 lbs. Items that are not acceptable yard debris collection are mulch, dirt, rock, and sod.
